  • sensitive information such as race or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, and criminal history;
  • behavioural data including any details or information contained in incident reports that are provided to us such as information on the frequency, duration and intensity of behaviours of concern;
  • any details or information that are included on Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBAs) or Positive Behaviour Support Plans (PBSPs) and any data provided to us when you create FBAs or PBSPs via our Platform;
  • opinions and information about your preferences, strengths, and opinions; and
  • if you are a support provider, we may collect your contact details and any relevant information about you.

If you do not provide us with certain personal information, we may be unable to provide you with our services and this may also limit the completeness and accuracy of any data generated by our Platform (including FBAs and PBSPs).

We may collect personal information in the following ways:

  • When you provide personal information to us directly via our website or the Behaviour Help Platform.
  • When a service provider, parent, or guardian provides personal information to us, including via our website or the Behaviour Help Platform.

  • By obtaining information from third-party sources.

3. How do we use personal information?

We collect and use personal information to operate and provide the Behaviour Help Platform and services to you including development of FBAs and PBSPs.

The personal information we collect is generally used to:

  • provide the Behaviour Help Platform and related services to you including creating, managing and sharing FBAs and PBSPs and providing tools to enable behavior tracking, intervention planning, progress monitoring and incident analysis;
  • provide, maintain, improve and enhance the Behaviour Help Platform’s features and functionality;
  • facilitate customer and technical support services, respond to user enquiries and any communications you may send to us;
  • contact you with important notices such as updates to the Behaviour Help Platform, changes to our Terms or Privacy Policy and with information about products that may be of interest to you;
  • manage and administer your account with us;
  • comply with our legal obligations, to assist government and law enforcement agencies and as otherwise may be permitted by applicable law;

We use automated decision making to facilitate the Behaviour Help Platform and to assist with determining and formulating FBAs and PBSPs. Your personal information will be processed via the tool. We do not use your personal information to train any AI models.

We store your personal information in electronic format and hardcopy and take reasonable steps to ensure that the personal information is protected from misuse, interference and loss and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. However, as the transmission of information across the internet is not completely secure we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information transmitted to our website. Any such transmission is at your own risk.

We may transfer personal information outside of Australia for administrative or other business purposes. If we do so, we will update this Privacy Policy to identify where the recipients are located.
